2017 MS 150

Hi, I just signed up for the 2017 MS 150 ride and I'd really appreciate your support in my fundraising efforts. I've kicked off the fundraising by donating $300, ten percent of our 2017 goal. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an immune-mediated process were an abnormal response of the body’s immune system is directed against the central nervous system (CNS). This is made up of the brain, spinalcord and optic nerves. The exact antigen — or target that the immune cells are sensitized to attack — is still unknown. This is why MS is considered by many experts to be "immune-mediated" rather than "autoimmune". The disease is thought to be caused by a combo of environmental prompts acting in a genetically susceptible individual.
