The Shop

The Business

Excel Automotive Technology is a family business first and an automotive repair shop second, located in the Galleria area in Houston, TX. The owner Jay Meir runs Excel Automotive Technology with the support of his wife and two daughters. Houston’s been their home for over 20 years. Honesty is the cornerstone of Excel Automotive Technology’s service which is why Jay’s customers trust him with their vehicles.

Jay’s career as an automotive technician began in 1983, and Excel Automotive Technology opened their first location in 2001. Jay holds certifications from the CARQUEST Technical Institute, Mitchell Management, Audatex Body Shop Estimating, Automotive Technical Institute, Elite Business Management, and State Inspection License.

Our Technicians

The technicians at Excel Automotive Technology have the skills and training to perform work that meets Jay’s high standards. Juan Juarez is certified by CARQUEST Technical Institute, ASE, and earned his State Inspection License. Chris Elliot also holds certifications from CARQUEST Technical Institute and ASE. Johnny Morales obtained his State Inspection License, and Nestor Perez is certified by ASE and ICAR. This team knows cars inside and out and live up the Excel Auto name.
